Military Transcript Links
American InterContinental University's Prior Learning Assessment Specialists (PLAS) can review and evaluate your military training, courses, occupational specialties and traditional education for potential college transfer credit. The evaluation will list the total number of hours you've earned that can be transferred. Your PLAS can then develop a degree plan that will show how your credits can be applied to your preferred degree at AIU. We can also identify ways for you to complete the remaining degree requirements.
We use official military transcripts to develop your degree program. You should request and maintain copies of your transcripts for your own reference. You can obtain official and unofficial copies of your military transcript using the appropriate links below:(Please note that some branches allow you to request and receive those transcripts online; others must be requested in writing.)
You can also use these links to request official copies to be sent directly to AIU.

Correspondence and other training
You may have completed correspondence courses or other eligible training that can be used for college credit. Review the links to sites containing course information by military branch. We may be able to give you credit for courses you've completed.
The American Council on Education (ACE)
The American Council on Education is a coordinating organization helping institutions and organizations advance the higher education system. The organization ultimately helps individuals by evaluating and recommending institutional, and some non-traditional education and training, allowing accredited educational bodies to accept credit recommendations. We use ACE recommendations to award you transfer credit for your eligible experience and training.
At AIU, your Admissions Advisor can assist you with the details of acceptance into the University and your Prior Learning Assessment Specialist can prepare your personal degree plan. You can prepare for your conversation with a Prior Learning Assessment Specialist by gathering your transcript information from the sources listed above.
