AIU London Announces Dual MBA Programme with Buckinghamshire New University

August 24, 2012

American InterContinental University (AIU) London, in collaboration with Buckinghamshire (Bucks) New University, is pleased to announce the creation of a dual MBA programme. This will enable students to enrol on a one year MBA programme at AIU London and earn two degrees – a British Master of Business Administration from Bucks and an American MBA in International Management from AIU London.

The MBA programme follows on from the success of AIU London’s dual UK and US undergraduate business degree programme, launched last year.

Randolf Cooper, Campus Director and Vice President of Academic Affairs for AIU London, said:

"There has been an increasing emphasis placed on the globalisation of education during the past year. Many higher education providers are investing their precious resources in satellite campuses abroad as the United Kingdom Border Agency’s Tier Four regulations impact student recruitment. But there is more to the globalisation of this sector than the mere export of education. If we are really talking seriously about ‘students at the heart of the system’, as echoed in last year’s white paper, then we must acknowledge that the globalisation of education has a great deal to do with how we bring international education opportunities to the UK. As globally-aware students in this country look towards ‘value for money’ education propositions, they will soon see that there are advantages in considering the option of attaining a truly international dual MBA without having to leave the UK. The dual MBA from AIU London and Bucks New University offers just such an opportunity."

Professor Derek Godfrey, Deputy Vice Chancellor of Buckinghamshire New University, said:

"At Bucks we believe in the benefits of collaboration and its role in helping to create the best opportunities for students at what is an evolving time for higher education. Our continued work with AIU London in validating the new dual MBA programme, enabling students to gain an American MBA from AIU London and a British MBA from Bucks, will not only help to prepare them for professional and creative careers but will also open doors for graduates on a new level."
