Resources for Returning Students

Have questions or need additional information about applying for re-entry to AIU? Check out the resources below. If you cannot find the answers you are looking for, please contact us directly.

  • Free Application for Federal Student Aid
All students must have the most current FAFSA completed. The AIU Online school code is 014720. Ground campus students, contact the Financial Aid department at your campus for the appropriate school code.
  • Proof of High School Graduation
You may be required to submit new documentation verifying your high school graduation or  equivalency. You will be notified if new documentation is required.
  • Official College Transcripts
It is imperative that all official transcripts are on file as soon as possible. You will be notified if you are missing these required documents.
  • AIU Tuition and Fees Schedule
Please take a few minutes to review the current AIU Tuition and Fees schedule for the campus of your choice. You can find the corresponding campus schedule on our Documents and Resources page.

As a returning student, your acceptance back to school is contingent on approval from various departments.

  • You will be notified by your Re-entry Advisor if your application has been accepted by the Admissions Department.
  • Your application will then be reviewed by the Academics Department.
  • If you are academically approved to return, your access to the Virtual Campus or your Student Portal will be restored and a new class schedule and degree plan will be created for you.
  • Finally, you will need to meet any requirements of the AIU Financial Aid and Student Accounts Departments.
