Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA): Generalist Specialization
This Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree program features a Generalist specialization and is designed to provide a solid background in business fundamentals. The goal of the BBA program with a Generalist Specialization is to help students acquire a solid foundation in business fundamentals. The program is designed to allow them to focus on the areas essential to the field of business.
Successful completion of the BBA with a Generalist specialization can provide students with an applicable foundation of industry-related knowledge and skills, including how to:
- Learn accounting methods for planning and controlling operations through budgets, responsibility centers and cost management.
- Learn various measures and analysis techniques to evaluate the performance of the business.
- Understand organizational change, role of managers and cultural differences found in today’s management environment.
- Understand the elements of management and leadership as they apply to modern organizations.
- Understand the implications of forecasting, capital budgeting, working capital management and project risk management.
The Generalist specialization provides students the opportunity to take specialization courses in any area of Business. The specialization courses below are suggestions but may be substituted for any upper level course in the Business discipline.
