This Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree program features a specialization in Human Resource Management and can be designed to provide a solid background in business fundamentals, along with an in-depth study and application of knowledge and skills that could be relevant to the responsibilities in the workplace. The goal of the BBA program with a specialization in Human Resource Management is to help students acquire a solid foundation in business fundamentals while giving them the opportunity to explore topics related to human resources, including employment law, the employment process, compensation and benefits, training and development, employee motivation, employee safety and labor relations.
In this focused curriculum, students can examine the process of recruitment, selection and human resources record-keeping in organizations, including human resource development techniques utilized by corporations to improve employee and organizational effectiveness.
The AIU BBA with a specialization in Human Resource Management gives students an opportunity to study topics and issues relevant to HR professionals. In this industry-focused curriculum, students can learn how to:
- Apply team building and leadership skills.
- Recognize and manage potential ethical and legal conflicts.
- Develop a personnel selection process for a specific position.
- Establish performance standards for a job and select methods of performance appraisal.
- Evaluate the relative worth of a set of jobs, and determine a compensation structure.
- Determine appropriate disciplinary action for a given situation.
- Develop change strategies for collaborative group relations.
