Crazy Interview Questions

Even the craziest interview questions can give employers an idea of how well you work under pressure. Here are three ways to stay ahead of the interview game:

  1. Be prepared. Research the company before your interview to learn about the company’s history. If you know the name of the person interviewing you, look them up in the company directory so you’ll know who to look for.
  2. Write up a quick oral résumé that includes a five-year career plan. Make sure it includes your education (the location of your school or the name of your online university). A lingering silence is not a good answer to “where do you see yourself in five years?”
  3. Be confident in your answers, even when you’re not sure if they’re right. You’ll get some off-the-wall questions that no one can answer—but sometimes, it’s how you answer that makes the difference.
