Wanda Bernardino has developed her painting practice over the last 10 years. Following a year's residency at the Florence Trust in 1999-2000 which culminated in a group exhibition of international artists, she has had several shows in London. Wanda has also participated in national and international competitions and was short-listed and participated in the Celeste and Hunting Art Prizes. Her most recent body of work reveals a questioning into the true intimacy of portraiture today. The new series of paintings will be exhibited for the first time, in a solo show in October at Contemporary Art Space in Hoxton, London. Wanda is a keen member and participant of the Salon, a forum for current contemporary discussions between international artists, critics, art-dealers and collectors that meet every month in London.
