AIU South Florida – About Our Community

Weston, located in southwestern Broward County, is home to AIU South Florida, ideally situated near beaches, a diverse range of industries, museums, boutiques and performing art centers. A commuter rail connects nearby Fort Lauderdale to Miami and West Palm Beach. It's also an exciting city in which to live, work and play.

As a student at AIU South Florida, you'll have ample opportunities to explore an array of culinary, nightlife and shopping experiences. The natural environment that surrounds our city is as unique as its lifestyle. Weston borders the Florida Everglades, and the city maintains over 2,200 acres of wetland preserves, supporting a diverse ecological population.*

Outside of the classroom, you can take in “Florida’s Most Beautiful Mile,” the Fort Lauderdale Riverwalk, recently finished in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Or, take a stroll along Las Olas Boulevard, the “Rodeo Drive” of South Florida shopping. You'll also enjoy our warm, sunny weather as you immerse yourself in a region rich in cultural events and facilities, including Fort Lauderdale’s Arts and Entertainment district.

At AIU South Florida, we believe the educational experience is enhanced when opportunities to pursue other interests are readily available. That's why we feel sure that you'll discover many satisfying ways our area and school can help you fulfill your personal, professional and academic pursuits.
