On June 10, 2011, AIU Houston celebrated its 2011 summer graduation ceremony at the Abundant Life Cathedral in Houston, Texas. Over 300 graduates, almost evenly split between AIU Houston and AIU Online students, gathered to receive their degrees in the fields of business, IT, visual communication, criminal justice, and more.

Over 2,100 attendees, including special guests from Hastings High School ROTC, joined the graduates to celebrate the occassion. A warm welcome by AIU Houston President Stephen M. Malutich was followed by words of inspiration from guest speaker Todd Ross. Ross, a former U.S. Army Blackhawk helicopter aviator and veteran of Operation Desert Storm, now owns and operates Ross Group Consulting, LLC, a firm that targets trainer development and impoving all aspects of the training function within corporations and other organizations.

Addressing the rows of grads sitting in front of him, Ross remarked, "...we are in a room full of world changers. As you leave this campus and its classrooms, you’ll be going out and making much needed changes in the world we live, work and reside in. Along the way, you will be confronted by challenges, obstacles and barriers that you will have to work through, work around and, eventually, if you are to be successful, overcome."
