AIU London Graduate David Otokpa Gets Behind the Lens

David Otokpa is a talented photographer with over 8 years’ experience. Born and raised in Africa, he moved to the U.S to study design and engineering and later relocated to London where he attained an Honours degree in Visual Communications at AIU London.

David's work demonstrates his skill in bringing creative visions to life by employing the use of strong lighting techniques, colour, tone and exceptional attention to detail.

With extensive experience working on location and in studio, he is able to see projects through from concept to finished image.

His portfolio to date includes Beauty, Portraiture, Editorial, Fashion and Advertising. He currently works travelling between Africa and Europe and is available for photographic commissions as well as photo retouching services.

David’s past clients include Vogue Italia and in 2010 he won the prestigious Student Photographer of the Year Award. That same year he was shortlisted as Professional Photographer of the Year.

On February 14th, David returned to the AIU London campus to participate in a live front window photo shoot with the theme of My Dark Valentine. Pedestrians on Marylebone High Street watched in awe as the story line created by the Fashion Events students came to life through David's lens.
