AIU Atlanta's Kat Cheairs to Screen Film in Washington, D.C.

Katherine Cheairs, AIU Atlanta Faculty MemberAIU Atlanta Media Production faculty member Katherine "Kat" Cheairs will be heading to Washington, D.C., this weekend to screen her new documentary film, Ending Silence this Saturday, January 19th, as part of the National Day of Service activities celebrating the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. and the Presidential Inauguration.

The film is part of a larger panel discussion titled Ending Silence, Shame and Stigma: HIV/AIDS in the African American Family. Cheairs will serve on the panel as well as screen her film. Other panelists include:

  • Christopher Barnhill, Activist and Motivational Speaker
  • Rev. Ruth Hamilton
  • Ron Daniels
  • Vanessa Johnson
  • Ken Lazarus
