Today, brands are everywhere, including all kinds of products and services from sneakers, to restaurants and banks. Businesses are figuring out how to transcend the narrow boundaries of their categories and become a brand. But have you ever thought about your own personal brand? In today's world, building a personal brand can make a big difference in how potential employers view you as a potential employee.

But how do you get started on creating a personal brand? AIU Career Services has broken it down into three basic steps in our video, How to Build Your Personal Brand.

When you start building your personal brand, keep these questions in mind. What image do you want to enter into someone's mind when they think of you? What sets you apart from the rest of the crowd? What makes you memorable? A positive image that stands out in the right way can be a great way to make a lasting first impression.
