AIU Atlanta President Peter C. Correa to Serve as Keynote Speaker at SSPC

On June 27th, AIU Atlanta President Peter C. Correa will serve as the keynote speaker for the monthly Bagels and Business meeting held by the Sandy Springs/Perimeter Chamber of Commerce. Correa will speak on helping students create their own career paths, developing curricula and running a university system that is constantly changing. As President of American InterContinental University Atlanta, Correa has been a driving force in the career-based learning industry.

AIU Atlanta President Peter C. CorreaBefore beginning his career in higher education, Correa served in the U.S. Army for almost three decades before retiring from military service as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1996. During his time in the service, Correa worked in a variety of roles including service as an airborne ranger infantry officer defending the Panama Canal, military assistant to the associate controller of the National Security Agency, controller and director of support of the U.S. Army Russian Institute in Germany, and finance and accounting officer with the U.S. Military Academy. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and raised in Florida, Correa graduated from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point in 1973, with a BS degree in engineering and leadership, and earned a Master's Degree in Financial Management from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA. Peter and Charlene Taylor Correa have been married since 1979 and have two adult children.
