AIU Military Relations: US Air Force Celebrates 64th Birthday

September 18, 2011 Military 1 Comments

Sunday, September 18th, is the birthday of the United States Air Force. For 64 years the Air Force has dominated the skies in peace and in contested theaters of operation all over the world.

From the rough ride of terrain hugging "nape of the earth" supersonic sorties and underground missile silos hidden in northern prairies to the arcing trajectories of reconnaissance satellites in the cold reaches of outer space the Air Force is there. With the unblinking eye of high loiter unmanned aircraft and the deft touch of a boom operator in a KC-135 there is no point on earth the Air Force can't reach.

To all of AIU's students and alumni who serve or have served in the Air Force, the Air Force Reserve and the Air National Guard and to their spouses and dependents who support their every endeavor we wish you Happy Birthday. Aim High... Fly-Fight-Win.

I had the pleasure of being a part of this great organization from 1977-1981. Happy birthday you present blue suiters.

What do you think?
