AIU South Florida - Thomas DemosAIU South Florida Professor Thomas Demos Honored at the 24 Hour Film Race Gala Screening Professor Thomas (Tommy) Demos, Lead Faculty of Media Production at AIU South Florida, was honored at the 24 Hour Film Race Gala Screening in Brooklyn, New York on September 15, for his short film, "Poacher."

Demos was a key member of a six man team responsible for creating the film in under 24 consecutive hours. The special gala screening and awards ceremony was held for the Top 24 films from the 24 Hour Film Race 2012, where teams competed for the coveted Best International Film of the Year Award.

His short film, "Poacher," which he produced and directed, won the following awards at the regional competition in Florida: Best Film, Best Actor, Best Acting Ensemble, Best Cinematography, Best Costume Design, Best Set Design, and The Audience Award.
