Success at AIU Online

AIU Online has graduates all around the world, and the University is proud of the outcomes that these graduates have achieved. We regularly seek our students' and alumni's opinions about AIU services and programs. Here are some examples of the feedback we have received.

Student Satisfaction

AIU utilizes surveys to determine the level of student satisfaction with University services and programs.

AIU Online Student Satisfaction Survey - 2012

AIU prides itself on the level of support services that we provide to students, and it shows in our students' survey responses. Student feedback is an important factor in ensuring the continuous improvement of our processes. In an early 2012 student survey, 90% of respondents said they were satisfied with their overall experience at AIU Online; 91% told us their instructors demonstrated strong knowledge of the course content. That's high praise from the people we value most - our students.

Student Experience

AIU Online surpasses competitors in the services we provide. In our quest to demonstrate the quality of our education, we partner with enrollment-management consulting firm Noel-Levitz to see how we compare to other online institutions. 77% of AIU Online students replied that so far their college experience has been better than they expected, compared to the National Online Learners' result of only 65%.

Note: Survey comparison of 1,578 AIU Online students and approximately 123,500 students from multiple institutions across the country who participated in the 2012 Noel-Levitz Priorities Survey for Online Learners.

These results document that AIU Online has attained higher satisfaction rates than the national benchmark for 24 of the 26 student services that were questioned in the survey. Based on a seven-point scale, some of AIU Online's most significant* strengths are:

A two question survey was sent to all students and alumni in November 2011, asking them to rank on a scale of 0-10 how likely they are to recommend AIU Online to a friend or colleague (0 represents not at all likely; 10 represents very likely). 63% of current students responded with 9 or 10, and 63% of alumni also responded with 9 or 10.
