From the moment you apply until the time you arrive in your chosen destination, our staff can assist you with travel plans, credit transfer issues, financial matters and housing arrangements. We are dedicated to helping you get acclimated and feeling welcome and secure in your new environment!
The AIU Study Abroad Program Student Services team can provide answers to questions regarding issues such as:
- Credit transfer issues
- Financial matters
- Housing arrangements
- What to pack
- Spending-money requirements
- Travel do's and don'ts
- Language differences and "lingo" in your chosen destination
After your arrival at your chosen destination
AIU Student Services staff will work diligently to help you feel welcome and secure in your new environment, so that you can focus on your study abroad experience and develop new friendships as part of your international education. The high standard of service to which you've become accustomed throughout the planning stages of your journey will continue throughout your study term. Answers to your questions will never be more than an email or phone call away. AIU's on-site Student Services staff includes:
- On-site advisors who can provide assistance with academic matters
- On-site counselors who are available 24/7 to assist students with personal issues
- Activity Directors who can coordinate an array of cultural and travel opportunities
- Sports Directors who can coordinate fitness and recreational activities
- Housing Coordinators who can arrange student housing and maintenance
- Disabilities Services Coordinators who can make reasonable arrangements for students with physical and learning disabilities
