AIU Study Abroad - Student Housing

AIU London provides housing accommodations for students in London. Woodland Court is approximately 35 minutes from campus via bus/underground or a 50 minute walk. Caledonian Road Tube Station is only a 3 minute walk away. Woodland Court is close by and offers shops, restaurants and entertainment venues. London is a top tourist attraction and has several exciting markets, of which offers clothing, furniture, antiques and diverse food selections.

Woodland Court is primarily occupied by AIU London students, but shares the premises with students from other London universities. The flats consist of 5 bedrooms, with each bedroom having its own en-suite shower, toilet and sink unit. Broadband Internet is also available in each bedroom. A shared kitchen furnished with appliances and cooking utensils and a community common living room area complete the flat layout. On the premises, students have access to coin-operated laundry facilities, a common room with a widescreen TV, snack vending machines and a public telephone.

Woodland Court is a very secure building monitored by CCTV, and students’ access to the buildings is via a key card system. Out-of-hours emergency is provided by the Housing Office through the Resident Assistants (RAs) and in conjunction with the buildings managers’ security services. AIU London has RAs living on site, who visit the flats on a regular basis to ensure they are maintained and to answer questions. An out-of-office emergency maintenance team is also available to assist with any emergency repairs that require urgent attention.

While Woodland Court is AIU London’s primary student residence, it may be necessary for AIU to secure housing accommodations at other locations when student demand exceeds room availability. As a result, students can expect that the furnishings and amenities offered at the other locations will be different than those available at Woodland Court.
