Dr. Joel Esperanza joined the CEC family in November 2001 at AIU Atlanta. In 2009, he began teaching for AIU Online as an adjunct and just last year, he accepted the Program Chair position for the Visual Communication program at the Main Campus. He holds a BFA degree in Interdisciplinary Studies in Scientific Illustration from the University of Georgia and an MFA from the University of Michigan in Medical and Biological Illustration. He is a Certified Medical Illustrator (CMI) by the Board of Certification of the Association of Medical Illustrators (AMI). In addition, he is a member of the Delta Delta Chapter of Epsilon Pi Tau (EPT), the International Honor Society for Professions in Technology, and served as a Co-Trustee for AIU.
