Dr. Sabrina Segal describes herself as "an entrepreneur at heart, engaging start-ups in retail, publishing, and consultancy, all the while keeping in mind that business is about people, and the world they shape." She's been teaching marketing at American InterContinental University Online since 2002 and has won several awards for her efforts. Even more impressive, she regularly receives fan mail from former students who were, and continue to be, inspired by her energy, good humor, and dedication.
Dr. Segal's own educational background indicates the breadth of her academic knowledge and the international flavor she brings to marketing, teaching, and life in general. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Language (Russian) from Georgetown University, then a Master of Business Administration from the University of Hartford and completed her Doctorate of Business Administration in Marketing at Nova Southeastern University. She has published a number of works on culture, organizational commitment, and online education and has also been a teacher and administrator with Keiser Collegiate Systems and Nova Southeastern University.
A successful entrepreneur and marketing consultant to several businesses, Dr. Segal not only has a deep understanding of marketing theory, but operates on the cutting edge of the industry. This experience is often referenced in her classes. "I've frequently asked students how they would handle some of the real world challenges that I've faced in my consulting work," Dr. Segal said. "And being on the front lines enables me to keep my students abreast of all the rapid changes within the industry."
