As we all know, Atlanta is home of several up-and-coming fashion
designers, but you may not be aware of one so talented that she has been
invited to New York Fashion Week 2011.
Fashion designer Natarsha Shearin will soon showcase plus-size designs
that the world has never seen. Shearin is a graduate of the fashion
design program at the Atlanta campus
of American InterContinental University and has created a fan base in
the southeast. She will soon embark on a journey to New York City to
spread her talent and love for quality plus-size clothing at
Shearin was invited to showcase her talents after her discovery at a
homecoming fashion show at Florida A & M University. She has also
appeared on The Monique Show on BET and appeared on CBS Atlanta's Better Mornings Show.
Since her childhood, Natarsha has dreamed of becoming a fashion
designer. Her story shows that dreams really do come true as she
embarks on her journey to New York Fashion Week for her show on February
13th. Plus-size fashion is one of the most under-represented areas of
the industry, yet across the globe several designers have begun flirting
with the idea of developing plus-size lines.
Natarsha is a great representation of Atlanta and its many talented
residents, as well as graduates from AIU making their way in the world.
