The AIU South Florida Student Government Association (SGA) recently accepted the challenge to raise funds in support of the Komen Miami/Ft. Lauderdale Race for the Cure® on Saturday, October 20th, in the fight against breast cancer.
The SGA hosted a Pink Party on October 5 to kick off the new term and raise money for their cause. The students celebrated together in the main lobby with family, friends and staff members. Dancing the night away while enjoying a few tasty treats, everyone’s faces were washed in the pink glow of support. The party raised $285 for the Breast Cancer Walk.

To donate to Susan G. Komen for the Cure® and support the AIU South Florida SGA, led by Student Services Advisor Tiffany Achille, visit the AIU South Florida SGA team page. Your tax-deductible contribution will fund research, outreach and awareness for the community.
One in eight women* will be diagnosed with breast cancer in her lifetime, and the more money that is raised, the more the Miami/Ft. Lauderdale affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure® can give back to fund vital breast cancer education, screening and treatment programs in their community.
The AIU South Florida Student Government Association is eager to support this cause!
