Are you a bachelors-level student considering new career goals? Studying a new field? An internship may be a unique opportunity for you. When an eligible student meets the internship requirements, an internship can be a great way to earn college credit while gaining some hands-on experience in the field.
AIU is now offering a course that may allow bachelor-level students the ability to earn college credit for working at an approved internship. Students who meet the internship requirements must also identify their own internship opportunities. During this course, a student can apply skills that he or she has learned in the program to a real-world career environment. Interns can also develop valuable contacts that can assist them in pursuing their professional career. How valuable is an internship? A 2011 National Association of Colleges and Employers survey found that interns were offered full-time positions 66.7% of the time.*
This course requires some planning and specific eligibility requirements, so if you are interested, don't delay. We strongly encourage you to start the registration process early!
If you would like to learn more about the internship course, information sessions are held monthly to go over the program and answer any questions you may have. Join by clicking the link below the last Tuesday of each month at 11:00 a.m. CST and 7:00 p.m. CST.
