AIU awards scholarships starting at $1000 each year to affiliated US colleges and universities. The number of scholarships awarded to an institution is based on the number of students who attended the AIU Study Abroad Program the previous academic year. The Merit Scholarships are presented to campus officials (usually in the Study Abroad office) in the Fall term for use during the following calendar year. Scholarship recipients and award amounts (not to exceed $1000) are selected at the discretion of their home institutions. Students must have a 3.0 cumulative grade point average and take two or more classes during the term. Merit Scholarship awards applied to 5-week summer sessions may not exceed $500 per student.
