Professional Certificate Admissions

AIU offers a variety of undergraduate and graduate business professional certificates designed for working professionals who want to gain increased knowledge in a variety of specific specializations in business, information technology, criminal justice and education.

Admissions Process

  1. A complete application and Enrollment Agreement for admission (Non-Degree seeking status)
  2. Complete attestation of earned high school diploma or a college degree (associate, bachelor's, or master's degree)

Undergraduate Certificates

Certificate students are limited to 27 quarter credit hours. There are two types of undergraduate certificates:

  1. Undergraduate Certificate for Students and Professionals: This professional certificate is suitable for high school graduates, those new in the workforce and professionals seeking to enhance their knowledge and skills set.
  2. Undergraduate Certificate for Experienced Professionals: Geared toward professionals experienced in their fields, this certificate includes courses with advanced content.

Graduate Certificates

Students seeking graduate certificates can take up to 24 quarter credit hours. The graduate degree certificate is appropriate for experienced professionals who hold a bachelor's degree. The certificate program is designed to give professionals the opportunity to improve and increase their skills set to further their career goals.
