The Atlanta campus of American InterContinental University (AIU) is excited to announce Laura Davidson, vice president of the Project Management Institute Atlanta, as the keynote speaker for its 2014 commencement ceremony on June 27.
Laura is an active volunteer working to advance the project management profession. She has more than eight years of service as volunteer for the Project Management Institute (PMI), including her current role as Vice-Chair of the PMI Atlanta chapter. This is a three-year elected officer role, and she will transition to Chair and Chair Emeritus in subsequent years.
She is also a 2013 graduate of the Global PMI Leadership Institute Masters Class (LIMC). The LIMC program is a yearlong initiative that provides intensive training, development, and support for a select group of volunteer leaders.
As well as volunteering for PMI Atlanta, Laura has enjoyed being a volunteer for the Georgia Aquarium since 2005. Previously, Laura volunteered for various organizations as a museum docent, walking tour-guide, and tour-trainer. Her volunteerism provides her extensive experience managing a wide range of individuals, which result in increased community participation, awareness, and support.
AIU Atlanta is excited to hear from Laura and is confident she will inspire this year’s group of graduates.
