Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA): Specialization in Healthcare Management
This Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree program features a specialization in Healthcare Management and may be designed to provide a solid background in business fundamentals, followed by an in-depth study and application of knowledge and skills that can be relevant to the field of healthcare. Courses are structured to assist students in the development of their goals as they can acquire the knowledge and skills common to non-medical healthcare professionals working in hospitals, long-term care facilities, insurance companies, managed-care organizations, pharmaceutical companies, or one of the many other healthcare-related industries.

The goal of the BBA program with a specialization in Healthcare Management is to help students acquire a solid foundation in business fundamentals. The program also gives them the opportunity to explore management issues in healthcare, such as the environment of care, performance improvement, risk assessment and managing diverse workforces in healthcare.
In this curriculum, students can also acquire a working knowledge of law and ethics in a wide variety of healthcare topics that could help them deal with common legal and practical problems facing patients, their families, practitioners, care givers and society within the healthcare industry.
The AIU BBA with a specialization in Healthcare Management gives students the opportunity to study topics and issues relevant to healthcare professionals. In this curriculum, students can learn how to:
- Assess decisions and employ methods for improving decision-making.
- Apply team building and leadership skills.
- Apply mathematical, statistical and research techniques to analyze contemporary business practices and functions.
- Apply the concepts and principles of finance and accounting to make effective decisions.
