On Friday, September 28th, AIU Career Services Employer Development Manager, Jeff Shoemaker, hosted a highly successful roundtable discussion at the annual Midwestern Criminal Justice Association Conference in Chicago. There were 26 attendees at the event that included criminal justice professionals, faculty and administration from various higher education institutions along with criminal justice students and career seekers.
The conversation focused on the value of education for career development and the enhancement of skills and abilities necessary for performing current job duties at a level of excellence. The panel providing expert advice and stimulating conversation was composed of: Dr. John Campbell (AIU Criminal Justice Program Dean), Richard Holloway (CTU Criminal Justice Program Director) and Robert Kowalski (CEC Director of Security).
The audience was very engaged while asking questions to the experts on criminal justice trends. Following the roundtable discussion the attendees were extremely positive with their feedback, commenting on the unique insight offered by the panelists due to their academic and professional career experience.
