Bachelor's Degree Completion

The Bachelor's Degree Completion Program supports AIU's mission of providing a coherent program of Prior Learning Assessment (PLA) for the modern adult learner. American InterContinental University, along with hundreds of regionally accredited institutions of higher education today, has recognized the wealth of prior learning that many students bring with them to the undergraduate degree experience.

AIU recognizes that collegiate-level learning can take place outside of the traditional college classroom. The university's PLA program offers students the undergraduate degree completion pathway to demonstrate mastery of collegiate-level knowledge and skills to meet lower-level requirements through the evaluation of:

  • College transfer credit
  • Military training and occupational specialty
  • Standardized examinations
  • Experiential learning
  • Professional training or certifications in the Bachelor's Degree Completion program
