The goal of the MBA with a specialization in Accounting is to help students acquire a global perspective concerning economics and financial management and the ability to approach management strategically, including developing plans to improve business operations.
In this industry-focused curriculum, students can develop a more focused understanding of the areas of accounting, including how to analyze financial statements and methods used to value companies.
The AIU MBA with a specialization in Accounting looks at accounting from a manager's perspective and is geared toward helping students develop the ability to use cost and financial data in the planning, management and controlling functions of a company or organization. In this program, students can learn how to:
- Apply quantitative reasoning and analysis to business and management problems using knowledge of mathematics, statistics, finance and economics.
- Apply principles of quantitative and qualitative research to business cases and evaluate the quality of research presented based on these principles.
