  • The Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a Specialization in Entrepreneurship includes general core business courses and specialized courses taught by industry specialists who bring real-world perspectives to their coursework.

    In this specialized curriculum, students can learn the key components of the entrepreneurial process, including starting and scaling an enterprise from a business plan into a company while analyzing the business decisions entrepreneurs face.

    This real-world specialization offers the opportunity for in-depth study, with more than half of the courses dedicated to Entrepreneurship. It can help students develop a focused, industry specific knowledge base common to entrepreneurial professionals in today’s business environments. For example:

    • In Advanced Entrepreneurship, students can learn to effectively organize, develop, create and manage a business. The main objective of the course is to experience the challenges of starting and financing a new company. Students will examine and explore the entrepreneurial process and analyze business decisions that entrepreneurs face.
    • In Budgeting, students will be exposed to the fundamentals of budgeting the budget process and how to prepare financial budgets.
    • In Taxation, students can learn the fundamentals of individual income taxation. A background of accounting courses is not essential for this course. Topics include exemptions, exclusions and deductions available to the individual. These concepts will aid the student in the preparation of individual tax returns.

  • AIU's Bachelor of Business Administration with a Specialization in Entrepreneurship is designed to help students develop a strong foundation in business fundamentals and a familiarity with the skills and knowledge common to entrepreuneurs.

    Students will examine the legal environment and various challenges of managing organizations and acquire knowledge of ethical work environments and legal compliance. They will recognize that a successful manager must provide leadership and possess the motivation and skills to achieve organizational goals. Students will recognize the social implications of common microcomputer software packages and be able to use them effectively. They will be able to use negotiation tactics and strategy and manage the contracting and procurement activities within a global supply chain organization.
