The Master of Healthcare Management (MHCM) is an in-depth, focused program that allows students to examine the healthcare industry, including its operations, structures and challenges, from a unique leadership perspective. The multi-disciplinary curriculum is specifically designed to better prepare students who want to take on greater leadership roles in the complex and ever-changing healthcare industry.   • AIU's Master of Healthcare Management degree program (MHCM) is designed to provide professionals already working in the healthcare industry an advanced understanding of how the healthcare industry is managed across multiple disciplines such as government, law, marketing, business, finance, accounting, ethics and information systems.

    Students will be able to work through challenging scenarios common to healthcare-related organizations. They will be able to plan, direct and coordinate medical and health services. Students will be able to manage health facilities, clinical areas or departments and be able to work with physician groups and medical practices to improve or change services. Equipped with these skills and extensive knowledge of healthcare systems, students may be able to find jobs in healthcare organizations such as hospitals, nursing facilities, clinics, health insurance companies, medical or health supply-chain companies, medical technology firms, or medical associations and non-profits.
