  • AIU’s Master’s of Healthcare Management program is designed for busy professionals. You won’t just study advanced topics in healthcare, you’ll get a comprehensive, holistic understanding of how the healthcare industry works. The intensive 48-credit program covers global, historical, organizational and operational perspectives across multiple disciplines such as law, marketing, business, government, finance, accounting, ethics and technology.

    • Healthcare Operations Assessment and Improvement offers students strategies for evaluating and implementing change within a healthcare organization using the concepts of risk management, trend statistics, benchmarking and change management.
    • Healthcare Leadership and Management examines topics such as strategic planning, organizational design or change, departmental interaction, team building, operational budgets and ethics in healthcare.
    • U.S. Healthcare System gives an overview of the U.S. healthcare system including trends, structures, healthcare demands and government involvement in healthcare.
    • Capstone – Strategic Management for Healthcare gives students the opportunity to apply knowledge they’ve learned throughout the program. During this course the class will analyze situations and develop strategies that address issues with multiple stakeholders while abiding by the governing principles of healthcare management derived from the program.

  • AIU's Master of Healthcare Management degree program (MHCM) is designed to provide professionals already working in the healthcare industry an advanced understanding of how the healthcare industry is managed across multiple disciplines such as government, law, marketing, business, finance, accounting, ethics and information systems.

    Students will be able to work through challenging scenarios common to healthcare-related organizations. They will be able to plan, direct and coordinate medical and health services. Students will be able to manage health facilities, clinical areas or departments and be able to work with physician groups and medical practices to improve or change services. Equipped with these skills and extensive knowledge of healthcare systems, students may be able to find jobs in healthcare organizations such as hospitals, nursing facilities, clinics, health insurance companies, medical or health supply-chain companies, medical technology firms, or medical associations and non-profits.
