Patrice Nybro
Business Faculty Member
Patrice Nybro worked her way through undergrad and grad school on her way to a 20-year career as a Wall Street executive. Her passion for teaching brought her to AIU, where her flair for storytelling helps her share her experience and connect with students in our business degree programs.
Dr. Belinda Smith
Business Faculty Member
Belinda Smith, Ph.D., is a former entrepreneur and business consultant as well as a mother, grandmother and U.S. Army veteran. A longtime advocate of online learning, she has taught in the AIU School of Business for more than a decade. "I don't have lectures," she says, "I have conversations with my students."
Dr. David Lounsbury
Criminal Justice Faculty Member
Dr. David Lounsbury served as a special agent for the U.S. Army's Criminal Investigation Command with a specialty in counter narcotics and counter-narcotics terrorism. He is a German and Korean Linguist and served in Law Enforcement for over 35 years. He is a Certified Senior Crime Scene Analyst, a Certified Scientific Interviewer/Interrogators, and a Certified Fraud Examiner. Today, he imparts the experiences of his life to AIU criminal justice students in the online classroom.
Daniel Rinehart
Criminal Justice Faculty Member
Daniel Rinehart has 30+ years' experience in law enforcement and crime scene investigation and now teaches courses in criminal justice at AIU. Of his students, he says, "I give them things that I've been through, real-world situations that they can relate to in today's life. So when you take that CSI moment from TV, I'm going to show you what it really involves."
Andrew Mahaney
IT Faculty Member
In addition to teaching information technology courses at AIU, Andrew Mahaney is currently the F-35 Strike Fighter V&V Functional Task Lead (FTL) for NAVAIR with previous engineering lead experience on the new PATRIOT Missile Interceptor Defense System, and past naval platform projects. As part of his nearly 30-year IT career to date, he also spent 25 years working in the defense industry, including the FBI and National Security Agency (NSA), and 10 years as an intelligence specialist for the U.S. Marine Corps and U.S. Army.
