Grad Profile: Kendrick P.
MBA, 2025
For Kendrick, going back to school wasn't just about finishing something he started, it was about showing what's possible.
From New Orleans, LA, I'm the oldest of four boys,
he explains. I wanted my little brothers to see that we can use our brains to get out of any situation or any circumstance.
After completing his bachelor's at AIU, Kendrick began thinking about what was next. As he worked to grow the apparel brand he founded, he saw continuing his education as an opportunity to sharpen his skills and expand his impact.
His earlier experience with AIU had been adaptable, supportive, and goal-oriented. So, as Kendrick puts it, It made sense to come back. I already knew the support was there, and I trusted the process.
Like before, the flexible format helped him to balance school, business, and life. Being part of a globally diverse classroom was helpful as well, encouraging him to think beyond his own perspective, and pushing him to look more broadly at his own goals. That was really, really inspirational for me,
he says. To not only get to see the world, but to accept others' views and others' ways of learning.
Kendrick says he's already putting his education to work through his apparel brand. The skills I have learned and cultivated at AIU, I have already applied in my entrepreneurship with my business.
Looking back, he explains that the AIU experience was more than just academic: American InterContinental University is a bridge that leads to your future.
