Our online bachelor’s degree in IT is designed to introduce you to operating systems, fundamentals of programming and logic, as well as databases and basics of network infrastructure. In this program, you will study contemporary, desktop, and mobile operating systems and explore configurations and network operations. We can help you employ techniques, tools, and best practices involved in computing.
Online Cybersecurity Degree
Our online cybersecurity degree online cybersecurity degree program can help you learn to spot weaknesses, create security protocols, and formulate fresh ways to protect an organization's digital assets. When enrolled in the program, you will explore operating system and network security. Coursework covers principles and methods in cybersecurity; ethical penetration testing, and operating systems security; and network defense and countermeasures.
Meet an IT Faculty Member
Andrew Mahaney
In addition to teaching information technology courses at AIU, Andrew Mahaney is currently a lead software engineer for global security and defense technology company Northrup Grumman, where his experience includes work on the new PATRIOT Missile Interceptor Defense System. As part of his nearly 30-year IT career to date, he also spent 15 years working in the defense industry, including the FBI and National Security Agency (NSA), and 10 years as an intelligence specialist for the U.S. Marine Corps. and U.S. Army.
