Military-Supportive Education
AIU offers tuition reduction for active military students pursuing undergraduate and graduate degrees, and we’re committed to providing educational guidance and resources to help current and former members of the United States Armed Forces pursue their educational goals.
AIU Atlanta is a military-supportive university, welcoming students who are affiliated with the U.S. Armed Forces through current or prior service as well as spouses and other dependents. We honor veterans in part by evaluating qualifying military experience for college credit.* We recognize that those who serve gain skills that apply to both the pursuit of education and operating in the professional world.
*Transfer credit is evaluated on an individual basis. Not all credits are eligible to transfer. See the University Catalog for transfer credit policies.

Ways To Save
Earn Credit For Qualifying Prior Learning Experience
At AIU, you have the opportunity to leverage your previous college or prior work experience to earn credits toward degree requirements at AIU*. Our Prior Learning Assessment Specialists are available to help you determine what transfer credits you may be able to apply towards an associate, bachelor’s or master’s degree program.
For students transferring from community colleges in Atlanta, we strive to make the transition as smooth as possible. That’s why AIU maintains articulation agreements with different colleges in Georgia designed to help students transfer eligible credits from a variety of courses, which may then be applied toward a degree program at AIU.
